I agree, your Cats are looking pretty good this year about as good as I have seen them since 95-96 when you had Gary Barnett as coach. It is impossible to think Northwestern will look past us this year as I am pretty sure Fitz marks this game on the calendar as soon as schedules are made. The only thing that gives us a glimmer of hope that this is a close game is the fact the game is being played in Kinnick.

Beat Michigan at home and I think you guys are in the B1G title game with a possible rematch against Ohio State.
 
We have a shot in every game. So many teams score so fast and that plays out well for us. The uptempo we are working on is enough to keep teams from subbing on a d who is going up against a ball control o. I have a feeling you want a peice of iowa this year you had better pack a lunch and win or lose your going to know you have been in a dog fight.. that attitude is one thing all past winning teams have had.

Stop saying "you guys." I go to NU games because I live a short walk or train ride from the stadium and they don't have retired SS guards sniffing cups or executing raids against kegs or hard liquor in the parking lot.
 
Also i would like to say that last year i tried to explain what swag was to my generation. Now some will write a pep in their step. I say this team is trying to get that swagger back.

Olddue where have you been? This place has been overrun with alts with little oldswag.
 
Yep, very optimistic and no need to apologize because I really hope it rings true. However this is what happens to optimistic Iowa fan when we get winning record of 2-1 with a couple winnable games ahead of them. We get carried away.

Here is how I see the season playing out. Iowa is not beating Northwestern, Wisconsin, Michigan and especially Nebraska in Lincoln. So we now up to 5 losses. The winnable games like W. Michigan, Minnesota, MSU and Purdue are just that winnable, but Iowa will do what Iowa been doing the last 2 years losing and lose games that shouldn't. I see us losing both the road games (Minnesota and Purdue). Iowa gets to 4-2 and then will finish the year with 6 consecutive losses and a record of 4-8 and I also see a Big Ten record of 1-7.

You admitted to being a NU fan a long time ago, why are you denying it now?
 
Well meyer said we need to recruit better ie: our team does not belong on the same turf as the likes of osu, mich, nebby, and so on. Well if there is one thing i know that becomes personal. So you dang right i think this team will be in every game. Kind of works the same as call me whatever you want but disrespect my wife and i will throw you the beating of a lifetime. When it becomes personal humans can and do amazing things. Things they normally would not do and they do them from the heart which is a very powerfull place.
