what did you think of the......never mind.
SHUT THE HECK UP!!!
Are we talking about Brian or Kirk, cuz if we're talking about Brian.... we'll probably be right around 110 to 115 in total offense when the rankings come out.
We're 114th. 1st in scoring defense of teams that have played 2 games. 2nd if you count Toledo, with their only game being a 66-3 win over the mighty Virginia Military Institute. Are we talking about Brian or Kirk, cuz if we're talking about Brian.... we'll probably be right around 110 to 115 in total offense when the rankings come out.
Yep. Like I said earlier, if Phil was on the same level as BF we'd be winning 3 to 5 games a year if not worse. We're 114th. 1st in scoring defense of teams that have played 2 games. 2nd if you count Toledo, with their only game being a 66-3 win over the mighty Virginia Military Institute.
My viewpoint hasn't changed. Like I said after game 1.. Good defense but zero offense = 7-5.
Maybe 8-4. Then get shut down by whatever SEC opponent we play in the outback bowl.
Gotta find a consistent passing game if we want to realistically hope for better.

So here is the question. Would Kirk tolerate that from his defense? Would Kirk still be our coach if he had?
Norm and Phil have afforded Kirk the luxury of being an awful offensive coach historically, and that will continue until Brian ascends to HC whenever that is.
The same thing could happen during Brian's tenure. He will have to find his own Phil Parker. Would everyone be happen with 7-5 for another 20 years?
One meaning US! can only Dream.Go Hawks....Yep. Like I said earlier, if Phil was on the same level as BF we'd be winning 3 to 5 games a year if not worse.
2-0 is a great start. NIU and ISU weren't supposed to be cupcakes. I thought we could have lost to one of these teams.
Oh, I thought we'd lose yesterday. They have better skill players. Iowa's lines won the game by making big plays when they needed to.2-0 is a great start. NIU and ISU weren't supposed to be cupcakes. I thought we could have lost to one of these teams.
Because he likes it here. I think he would stay for the right head man, and if that man was smart enough to keep him.If Phil doesn't want to be a HC, why would he stay at Iowa?

Gotta side with Cincy here, Butler has an NFL body I’d trade any two of our receivers for him and Montgomery is better than our backs. Qb is very close. Their corners are NFL corners. Other than that there’s no comparison. Our defense was just that good yesterday and Iowa State’s punts were like turnovers.Skill players better? Who? Hakeem "Stone Hands" Butler? The backs who made up the .8 yards per carry average yesterday? Kick returners = nothing. Punt returners= nothing. Quarterbacks = nothing special. None of their tight ends would even make traveling squad at Iowa. Not really sure where you are coming from.
