In the last 5 years, Missouri has the 9th most wins in college football. Let that sink in.
That is a stat we use to talk about not so long ago. It seemed like there was always a stat to talk about. Whether it was Top 10 finishes, consecutive January bowl games, or overall wins, or whatever. It was unrealistic to think it was going to continue forever.
College football has adapted and surpassed our program. Honestly, it was bound to happen. There will be a time most likely when we will return there. I don't believe it will be under Ferentz, but we will get there. That's not meant as an insult to him. As Jon has said time and time again, the Iowa job is a very tough one. And what Ferentz has been able to do at Iowa is bordering miraculous. College football runs in cycles and we're just on the lower end of the cycle right now.
Anyway, that's the first thing I thought of this morning. And it took me from being ****** off at the world to appreciative in an instant.
