The problem with your theory is that were running a 90's offense everyone around us has gotten better. The opportunity was there to install a new offense, but it was bypassed to prevent a couple rebuilding years. If KF is really running off the cycle he would have realized where his team is in the cycle and brought in a real OC that can build something better.
His name recognition has peaked along with the program. I know he's not going anywhere for years, too bad the program won't either.
