This is reprehensible! how can we be expected to take the next step as a football program if IF WE SHOW UP TWO DAYS LATE TO OUR FIRST GAME! I heard Barta was pushing hard for the team not to show up until Monday Sep 5. Luckily NewKirk was having none of that and my best sources tell me that the Hawkeyes will, indeed, show up on Saturday Sept 3, and you can take that to the bank.

I have to admit, the idea of a game at 2:30 AM was intriguing.

there were a few years where it seemed like maybe the team wasnt ready and they had themselves down to play two days later...then someone said, hey boys! the game is SATURDAY.
