What he does well
1. Build effective O-lines.
2. Develop players (at least at certain positions, mainly TE and various Def positions.
3. Not cheat (or at least he doesn't get caught).
4. Keep games competitive (however this is a double edged sword... since some games shouldn't be because we should have blown them out of the water)
Know that "little" things during a game that need to be managed are of vast importance. His inability to ever pay attention to this has baffled me for 16 years.
- when to call a timeout to save time for your team at BOTH halves so that your team can get more points.
- when to call a timeout in a 2 min drill.
- When to call a timeout AFTER bleeding the clock against your opp
- When it is time to spike the ball...
- when it is time to kick it deep or onsides.
- When its the best idea to receive or defer.
- Having dynamic audibles for your QB (never in any year)
- Putting a play maker on punt returns instead of someone that he thinks won't drop it.
