What's going on with this team?

Late season choke job?
"Peaked too early"?
Penn State use an Under Armour ball?
Senior Leadership failing?
Players girlfriends sleeping with teammates?
Not enough rest?

I'm not sure what it is, but if they want to make ANY sort of noise in the tournament, they need to figure it out ASAP.

Seniors missing Free Throws, turning the ball over in face palming ways, team looks unenergized and unfocused.

Very frustrating. Nobody cares what you're high was during the season, it's about how you end it.

I don't have the answers. Just sick of trying to figure out why potentially great seasons always see our teams play like dog meat once you flip the calendar to February. Seen it soooooo many times.

What a waste of time game.

Waste of all 5 person's money who bought tickets.

Waste of of perfectly good jet fuel.

Waste of a million dollar arena.

Waste of TV money and personnel.

It it a joke that this is even called basketball. No **** on either side should be happy about this. Iowa gets a damaging loss. Penn State gets a win that will foolishly convince them they can ever be more than **** as long as they continue to play thug **** basketball.

******* stupid.

This loss made me angry also... but it's pretty clear Iowa was playing above their heads for a long stretch.

Now we just need to win at OSU or Michigan.

If anyone actually believed we were winning out...

We were going to lose at least one of these road games... hopefully we can get back on track.

Not sure i'd say abused.. I think the refs making these ticky tack calls all night really made him back off on Defense.

When random guy with no talent who averages 3 points goes for 19 and Woodbury didn't even hint at stopping him, that is abused.

We'll go as far as the defense takes us. The games we've lost or played bad and almost lost, we've played bad defense.

When we've played our best we've transitioned defense into offense. When we haven't, it's been close.

It's no different than the football team this past year. Ranked 15 spots higher than they should be which drives expectations they're not good enough to meet.

A true top 5 team displays toughness and endurance when it comes to must win games. This Hawkeye team, as much as I love it, does not.

There was someone who predicted in the Big Ten Bracket if Iowa lost out, that we would be a 7 seed....welcome to mediocrity down the stretch boys, we just witnessed a **** poor performance by 4 seniors, and a coach that can't handle the pressure. Damn shame

You can really tell the difference by watching us run our press. The press the first half of the season was worlds different than now. Players were hustling and shutting down passing lanes. We were trapping as soon as they crossed half court. It was a nightmare for the other team.

Now, we just slowly back pedal as they dribble up and make one pass to break it.

I really think it symbolizes how the team is playing in all aspects right now.

Right there with you, man. We are the Cubs of college sports.

Woodbury got straight up abused tonight.

I'm as anti Woodbury as it gets, but we missed way more free throws than the margin of defeat, and that's happened more than once this year. If your team can't cover high school fundamentals then you'll eventually get weeded out in D1 ball. Cream of the crop teams don't have simple weaknesses.

Missed 10 free throws tonight. Make 50% of the ones they missed and we win. Not complicated

Shouldn't be too tough for a team normally shooting 70 something percent, right?

The cubs have had about 3% the success of the Iowa football and basketball programs.

But yeah guys great analogy...

The analogy was one of hopes up, then crushed.

Shoe fits in that case, but it's just my opinion which is worth what you paid for it.
