Maybe headed for 5 or 6 wins which is what I expected at the beginning of the year
Our offense is bad,predictable, and unfortunately not getting better even though I think we have some good players.
The offensive line ain't the best in the Big Ten and In fact is a second division group at best. Sure we have had some injuries but we were said to have depth when the year started. I still say much of the ineffectiveness can be traced to the predictable offense we run especially in the run game. Young Ferentz still runs an offense to the liking of old Ferentz
I have always been a Ferentz supporter and I think he has done some very good things at Iowa considering some of the obstacles of coaching at Iowa. He brought us back after Fry let it slip at the end and he has had some terrific years. Iowa is not going to be a 9 win team every year! With all that said maybe its time to get to the 21st century offense and quit trying to win by outlasting teams in dogfights. I realize we play in the North which makes it difficult to open things up when it gets to November and the weather is bad but I think its time to update our offense
