Buried Nic Shimonek on our bench, and wasn't wise enough to see what he had?
Wasn't he playing behind 2 future NFL qb's?
Tough to unseat talent like that.
Two future NFL QB's? Who is the 2nd one? That's what happens when you never let your backups take snaps,....who was it a few years ago that took 100% of the snaps fro the year...that was a joke!

Agree, no different that if he was at Wash StIts normal for a TTU qb to put of huge numbers - - its a system thing. Being successful at Iowa requires a slightly different skill set. One has to get the team into the right play at the LOS, take snap under center, execute play action passes too. Play action pases require you to turn away from the LOS, turn around, then look and acquire your target...not easy.
And how many went on to play in the NFL?Kingsbury over 5000 yards
Symons 5800 yards
Cumbie 4700 yards
Hodges 4100 yards
Harrell 4500 yards
Harrell 5700 yards
Harrell 5100 yards
Potts 3400 yards/Sheffiled 1200 yards
Potts 3700 yards
Doege 4000 yards
Doege 4200 yards
Webb 2700 yards/Mayfield 2300 yards
-Yep that Baker Mayfield
Webb 2500 yards/Mahomes 1500 yards
Mahomes 4600 yards

Nothing at all to do with the system.
