ever heard the phrase, "Next man in"?
It used to be our mantra.
More recently, the next man in is usually a boy. Lack of depth has hurt Iowa.

Were out for most of the game and people are suprised we couldn't beat the team with the nations top defense? Where does reality fit in?
KF's jock must smell like fresh baked cookies, cause plenty of people around here love to sniff it.
Injuries affect virtually every team, every game. EVERY d-1 team has the same number of scholarships. If we do not have competent players to replace a couple injured ones, then that is on Ferentz, too. I tire of the injury excuses.
If you think there is zero drop off from the 1's to the 2's at every position, then you must be mad as can be when watching every team and every game, ever.
We knew this team was still fairly young (not as young as last year; but still young) coming into this season. Now you are realizing this and are mad as can be about it. Derpy derp?
Just because you're not optimistic about the remainder of the season, certainly doesn't mean you can come in and try to whiz on others who may be.
NIU's top rusher was out. They won.
I just did.
God some of you people must be miserable from Aug through January. Unless the Hawks go 13-0 you will always have something to be upset about...
Some people are passionate about Iowa football. Some of us obviously have higher expectations than others. I wish I could go to games, laugh, giggle and get drunk, and not really care whether Iowa wins or loses. I can't do it.
That's what we did in the 70s before Hayden. One thin I noticed last week in my first Iowa game since 2010, was the seeming lack of enthusiasm outside the stadium prior to the game. Not any "gimmie an I!" cheers or anything. It was OK inside though.

Perhaps you came upon this website by accident. It's "HawkeyeNation", a website for those who are fans of IOWA sports, and this niche in particular is for fans very interested in IOWA football. So you'll notice that people here discuss IOWA football in great detail.
If this is not your area of interest, there are many other forums on the internet. Good luck finding a site that better matches your interests...and congratulations on your new internet connection!
Or maybe Jon could have forum for people who just want to bash KF and one for people who want to discuss Iowa Football
You're right, KF is awesome. Even though we see the same coaching mistakes over and over and over and over, we should remain positive about him and his coaching style. It's awesome. I can't understand why we would ever have anything to complain about. I mean sure we gave up a few fake punts and seem to get totally out coached in several games, but let's stay positive! There is a chance we get to 6-6 this year. Yeah baby! Awesome.blubber, I dont have a problem discussing KF. I dont agree with everything he does. But discussing within the context of the game as some do is a lot different than people who just take shots at him. It just gets old and seems very small sometimes.
