'big splashes'.... I'd settle for a big splash in the W column... initial appearance will only go so far. It seems the fan base is a bit divided on who is the right guy (with Bruce P. as the exception as it seems all of us like him) I could be wrong but I don't think a 'big splash' coach will be coming.

I'd say both are pretty likely if we take Jon's actual initial statement about BJ...that he wants to do whatever he can to help out...which could mean providing assistance in the search and possibly help trying to convince the next coach that Iowa is a viable job.

I also think that Forbes is probably the most likely candidate for the job.

I tend to side with HawkCP.

I think Barta will talk with BJ. If he becomes aware that BJ wants to talk with him and chooses not to, I think that would be a bad choice.

I think Forbes is a more likely possibility to be Iowa's coach.
