So, about the MSU players taking dives...

I think that the the refs should be able to warn a team and if it continues, that team has to sit that player the rest of the series. Sure it's hard to prove, but when a player need to go to the sideline, then is playing just fine the next time they hit the field, then needs to go to the sideline AGAIN, a red flag should go up. Gholston, Worthy and Strayhorn did it multiple times each.

Lesson from the wrestling fans.An opponent stalling is only a problem if you are behind. If you don't want an opponent to stall, don't get behind. Its bush league. Its pathetic. But ultimately its a reflection of our failures. What are
we supposed to be upset about?

This isn't wrestling.

If they are actually hurt thats one thing. But seriously, when a player goes down, takes 3 minutes to wonder off the field, stays out for one play, and then runs back on to the field as if nothing happened and hes perfectly fine. IT'S BS. ^ WORTHY AND ^ GHOLSTON. Both of those asshats continually faked injuries. Why cant a rule be put in place that if you go down you must sit out the rest of the drive, or something along those lines. Otherwise I wouldnt be suprised to see those douchebags falling after every play in their bowl game. MSU what a f'ing joke.

If anything the MSU injuries gave us multiple free time outs that should have given O'Keefe the time to call the right plays.

wouldn't have changed the outcome but it was bush league. Not surprising coming from Dantonio though. Guy appears pretty dishonest.

You're right. nobody knows how the game could have ended. But the fact that this tactic is being used only hurts the sport as a whole. This needs to be fixed or expect to see it used much more in the future.

I can see it now.

0 timeouts left. a pass gets the team into field goal range but the reciever fails to get out of bounds and somebody takes a dive. Clock stops with a couple ticks left. Kicking unit comes out guy limps off the field, ball is placed, clock starts, ball is hiked, and the team kicks the game winning fg as time expires. Is this scenario ok?

Is that from THujone? Sure looks like it, lol.

Anyhow, this isn't a surprise. MSU did the same thing against Nebraska too. Too bad that they will probably get to play for the B1G championship. :(

Faking injuries hardly was the reason Iowa got beat.

I give Dantonio credit for doing it if it indeed did happen. Think KF or his staff would ever be so innovative and use something like this to slow down a fast offense?

Seems to have worked...

so what's new, most already knew Dantonio was dirty coach and is a cheater at heart
only way to stop this is to sit a player for the rest of the game to protect the player from further injury

KF and staff have class so no they wouldn't fake injuries to slow down an offense.

We lost the game due to a **** poor first half, turnover margin, and an a overall disappointing D&O performance.

With that said there is no question MSU was faking injuries. Just look at their coach and their integrity of their players. After watching the MICH game I'm still confused how Gholston is allowed to play this year, much less how did scumbag Mark not suspend him for one game?(Pretty sad Jim Delany has to step in). Mark runs that program like ThugU, remember when Rucker was in jail for two weeks and than gets out. What kind of coach plays a jailbird, two days later after he gets released? This is the same coach that was calling Darian Cooper before signing day telling him he better sign with MSU cause the whole Iowa staff is going to get fired for the offseason RHAMBO incident.

This is just another example of their class or lack their of. New rule should be imposed, and I don't care if it's for B1G games only. I like the idea of not being allowed back into the current possession. And if you go down twice in one game, you should have to sit a full QTR. Not as punishment, but obviously the docs need to take a good long assessment. And if there is evidence of flopping, IE when they had four guys go down at once, in should be reviewable by the B1G department. If found guilty, the next meeting between the two teams they shall loss a timeout a half.

There is a difference between playing hurt and playing injured. MSU had some real injures, but in the second half it was not the case. Their D and our WR's were getting tired from all the deep routes. Yes, the fake injures benefited us by giving us a breather, stoping the clock and time to dial up something. BUT this needs to be prevented, if MSU wins out and plays Oregon in the Rose Bowl they'll pull this same crap but this time it would have an actual effect on the game.

Who cares? It had nothing to do with the outcome of the game we didn't play well enough to win and MSU took advantage of all the mistakes we made.

So Dantonio is a dick, we all knew that before this game, Move on.

I care because one of these times this WILL have a negative effect on the outcome of the game. Flopping needs to be address and taken care of
