Snyder gone

I never thought that he was all that talented. I'm not surprised at all.

I get the impression that KF or Phil has a new philosophy in the program. I don't think they keep guys around for 4-5 years, just to be 2nd team or play special teams. They need to grow and contribute or they should move on to another school where they can play... just getting that impression. SEC like approach I think

Youd have to be careful to take that approach at a school like Iowa. You do that you get a reputation among recruits as a school that doesn’t support players. The Alabamas and Clemsons of the world can do that because they have the first, second, and third picks of the litter.

Those guys have double digit five stars on the roster every year, we get one every couple decades, maybe. Hawks can’t afford to be that picky.

Not without winning a NC at least.

It sounds like the leadership council wanted him gone.

If so, that seems like an awful lot of power for a leadership council. I wonder if it only comes to the leadership council after the coaches have made their informal decision.

You would Have to be pretty stupid as a coach to keep a kid on the team when his teammates feel like he doesn’t deserve to be on the team any longer.

Well since whatever this was wasn't strike one maybe it's the coaches way of putting things out there for the team to see. It let's KF take the temperature in the room on things which isn't a bad thing. I have to assume KF has the ultimate veto power of everything if say the council decided on something he disagreed with...

Would make sense.

Hey @deanvogs, I sent you a pm.

Pretty sad how quick people are to judge when they don't know squat about the situation. Just kick em while they are down.

Read a lot of nice things about him. Best wishes Brandon. Don't sweat what those that don't matter think of you. You are going to do very well in life. Thanks for being a Hawk!
