Slow Start To Recruiting?

Am I the only one who's growing more and more concerned with the fact that it's June 12th and we only have one verbal commitment. We've swung and missed on a lot of our top targets. I realize it's early, but we need to pick it up!!!

I am not concerned at all. Summertime is the time to get recruits locked up. Althought I wish Gessel and Woodbury would pull the trigger.

Not concerned, look at when Oglesby committed, as long as Iowa get players locked in prior to the Fall signing period.

Worrying about basketball recuriting in June seems like insanity to me. I feel happy at this point that we have an early commit in Meyer. Even as we get closer to the November signing period I think we better get used to the idea that Fran McCaffery recruits very selectively and won't always lock up his classes early although we may see more of that as we start to have more success but time will tell. He and this staff work very hard at recruiting and if we miss on a prime target like Woodbury they will find somebody else. But that takes time and patience on our part.

I am still trying to figure out if the OP is serious...heck, we just wrapped up next year's class and we should be worried about the following years class in June???? Ok...I guess.

Can you provide the list of the "top targets" weve swung and missed on?

This is the time of year that unknowns blow up in summer aau leagues. The trick is to get on them early before all the big name schools.
