In the pregame prediction thread, I jokingly said AJ Ep would remove the USC QB's right arm. I wasn't far off.

You would have been spot on if Eppy hadn't been held so much.

Agree helluva passer but
They were as predictable as Wash St.
This game just felt like it was well in-hand in 2nd qtr.
One more thing - I couldn’t believe the announcers didn’t say one good thing about how well our O Line played - gave up the one sack but they dominated the whole game!

Game well in hand in the second quarter? USC had all the momentum after scoring and getting an onside kick, was driving and the score was 28-24 in the third quarter. If Slovis didn't get hurt, the game would have been tight the whole way.

USC will be set at qb for the foreseeable future with either JT Daniels or Slovis. Not sure why, but they decided to go after Koerner and Belton and it was working. Would have been interesting if Slovis didn’t get hurt.

Because Koerner is limited physically and just not very good. Belton is going to be great, but he is obviously young.

I feel pretty comfortable after the drive where Goodson scored, because we punched them in the mouth on that series. I wasn't completely at ease until we held them to the fg attempt at 42-24 that they ended up missing (and in hindsight probably shouldn't have attempted.)

I would like to see Koerner move down to OLB. He can cover and is not afraid to hit. I think this year he filled in well but if everyone is healthy I am not sure if he is our best option at that position.

It was obvious that colbert got exploited in the pass game and in our conference we can't have that. Maybe move him to situational blitzing or DE

He's a dang good Qb. Showed he could be patient and make those quick hitch throws to the outside over and over. It was still a game when he got hurt. But that offense has a ceiling to it. You can't have zero running game. You just can't. It's like only having a running game like the acadamys run. Athletes today are too good and coaching for most to not be able to limit and take away some of what you want to do. Sure you can win 7-9 games depending on your schedule with that style but they can't get to the next level with it. They'll have to prove me wrong on that

Being at the game I can assure you the game was not in hand in fact the backpedaling was hard after the onside kick.
Pleasure to have merton hanks and quinn sit early next to us. Slovis will be great, Helton wont last, usc fans very apathetic at this point was with them all week, and of course overconfidence was high for an opponent once again. BF s gameplan was the best since OSU bar none. Great way to end the year, redemption for all the money I spent in Miami so long ago.............
