Not sick to my stomach but I agree with you wholeheartedly that it was a wasted opportunity.
Go back to the Wisky game and even if we win it and beat NW but lose the same two road games we lost we would have had only 2 losses and NW would have had two losses and we would have won the head to head.
This whole thing started with a few errors when the hawks held a 17-7 lead agaisnt Wisky late in the 3rd qtr

I haven't been sick to my stomach over Iowa football since 2010. What's the point? The SS Mediocre is turning circles in iceberg free waters, as long as Gutless Gary is at the helm.

If there was 1 single play you can point to that would make the difference, then yeah, I would be sick.
But NW finished 8-1 and Iowa 5-4. This was not even close. Even if Iowa would have beat NW, NW would have still be Indy. There is nothing to be sick about. NW deserves this. Iowa does not.

I actually would point to the ridiculous punt-kick fumble. I knew it the moment it happened. I think we beat Wisco if that doesn't happen. From there, who knows, but maybe they would have had a little more "moxie".

I don't remember being up 17-7, let alone late in the third. We should have been, but that's a different story. I do remember being up 17-14 and having Wisconsin pinned at the 12 yard line with under six minutes to play. That was painful enough.
We beat one team with a winning record...so...no. And even if it would have been 2015 part 2...it would have been another paper tiger. There only due to weak ass schedule and then exposed as a fraud in the bowl

That 43 play drive to lose the game to MSU the last time in Indy is about as sick as you can make a Hawk fan.
Both of those teams were exposed as frauds in their respective bowl games so it didn’t matter

Iowa would only be there is they played better. SO I'm not sick to my stomach that they're not there. I'm [ fill in the blank] that they played poorly during the season.

I did ......but looking back at it... It was based how Iowa played against Wisky (we thought was really good) and how they played against Minny and Indiana.
Think about it...not really strong data points.
We Iowa fans are thrilled when we see offensive competence.
