Not a whole lot going on here and this has maybe been kicked around before but I would like to hear your thoughts.

Actually my favorite is 2010 Insight Bowl where Iowa beat #15 Missou, iirc. The hawks had a bad 2nd half of the season losing crappily on the road to jNW and Minny. They gave up the 4th down play to OSU and Pryor and then OSU scored when so many times that year and in KF's tenure the hawks couldnt make a big play or drive like that. Hawks were pretty good undergods but played well against Missou especially on defense. And Coker broke out in his first game with the long TD run and Micah Hyde's pick 6 to win it was great.

Honorable mention is the opening kickoff and first half of the 2003 Orange Bowl, 2005 Cap One, and the 2010 Orange Bowl.

Oh and I forgot that it was great to beat down neighbor Missou after they begged out of the home and home contract for games.

Been to just about every bowl game since the 1995 Sun Bowl.
2010 Orange Bowl, easily, for me.
It was the first BCS/Big Bowl win, since Evy was walking the sidelines in the 1950s.

My personal favorite is still the 2010 Orange Bowl. Although it was like the coldest weekend in decades in Miami. They said it was the coldest Orange Bowl ever. The atmosphere was amazing. Seeing all these redneck hawkeye fans pack south beach and hanging out in the night clubs in jeans and hawkeye gear was hilarious.

At one point during the tailgating we ran into Tim Dwight carrying 2 cases of beer on his shoulders and super drunk.

Iowa completely shut down the Georgia Tech offense. I remember they passed for like 10 yards the entire game.

Also, I'm 100% sure some smoking hot south beach bartender stole my credit card number because I got home and had multiple charges on my card that I didn't make. Worth it

I'm kind of partial to the beat down we gave the Florida Zookers back in 03. Little did we know we'd be stepping on Zookers scrotum for the rest of the decade after he lost the Florida gig. I was sorry to see Illinois let him go.

Georgia Tech was supposed to be a mismatch hell for Iowa with their QB option game. Iowa came out with a terrific defensive game plan and dominated GT. Drew Tate and the Capitol One game was a nice game ending on a fluke play, but the GT game was a defensive masterpiece. That one came to my mind when I saw the thread title. Much like our match-up with BC this year in the Pinstripe Bowl. Can they duplicate that, we will see.

Orange Bowl GT is the favorite. The Cap 1 Bowl is conflicting to me. Who wouldn't love that game. The ending was so KF. Terrible end of game management. Sign of seasons past and to come. All over the place emotionally on that one.

Kind of like when my ramrod farmer dad took off with the tractor expecting 15 yo me to jump on, which I did manage to get on the draw bar. Half a mile later I expected him to slow up for the RR track. He didn't. The jar catapulted me up over the tractor and I came down on the big rear tire. Instead of throwing me forward and getting crushed I was flung into the fender to the side. I bounced back and forth hitting the fender and then bouncing into the tire where a lug would throw me back into the fender. Several cycles later he stopped.

Like winning the football game, I was so happy to be alive. Then the only time I ever got away with being angry at my dad, I swore at him and walked several miles back home, rejoicing I was still alive, yet pissed as hell about it and at him. I was bruised and beat up. To this day I rejoice and am pissed about it (the incident). I'm still laughing about the game and smile, yet I know things aren't much different. Being an Iowa football fan is a lot like that. Bruised, pissed, beat up, and thrilled at times.

2004 Outback Bowl when we destroyed a very arrogant Florida Gators football team. I was there and it was glorious! Those Gator fans were terrible to be around, one of them keep telling me we were the Idaho Hawkeyes.

08 outback agaisnt spurrier and SC or 09 Orange bowl.

Yes it was a somewhat surprise outcome against the gamecocks , I thought Iowa would win by in a close game, but it was nice to beat down the "ole ball coach". Total physical beatdown. Sash and Greenwood were just sitting back waiting for sitting ducks caused by the pass rush. The offense had a very good game finishing drives.

I still haven't fixed that hole in my living room floor from the 2005 Cap One Bowl game. That's my pick.

Yeah, my son and I watching the game couldnt believe how the hawks controlled that game for 50 minutes and then just gave up the lead, were gassed etc, but then the miracle play we were jumping up and down and going crazy at the end.

I just thought the Hyde int return then the big pass to the TE to seal it was great in the win against Mizzou.

o_O Gimme a minute ... it’s been a long time.;)

Yep, by the time I flipped through the posts... I've decided that I had the most fun watching the Outback bowl when Iowa beat South Carolina. However...the fun was sorta over by mid 3rd quarter

So the Florida outback bowl Jan 2004 would be the most fun.- It had surprise and delight
