So I've been involuntarily away for a bit, thankfully Jon is actually a good fella..

Anyways, Figured I'd bring positive as my first post back since I assume the meltdown occurred without me after the ISU game..

but I was super impressed by Gair. I saw him come up and make an absolute stick, and was watching him closely throughout the rest of the game..

He is only a sophomore, along with King.. I think we have a special secondary in the making guys and gals.

Mix that with an underrated QB class coming through the ranks with Cook, the dowling guy and benevetti (I think that's it?). I honestly think the next 3-4 years sets up pretty well for us. Daniels will be our guy at some point I believe, and if he's not, that means there is someone better than him which is pretty good news.

might be biased bc I played softball with Cook's brothers, but Im hoping to see him on the field. All 3 of his bros are fast as lightening and watching his highlights I see he caught the speed gene as well.

For those of us hoping to see KF gone before his contract, I think we'd better just get used to seeing the gum chewing until it's done. He's going to field some talent.

Dayum boys, it's a good time to be a hawk!

I know, I wasn't looking for him at all but kept seeing and hearing these hits and saying "who was that?" I mentioned it the other day on here. I'll be watching for him tomorrow

And with Lomax having another year and maybin having two years it looks to be a solid Dee backfield for a couple years,

I think Lomax moves to SS next year to make room for Gair. Lomax has also been solid in run support this.year.

I think they do both play, but considering lomax was a corner at one point in time he may have better range for a free safety spot than gair. They both obviously hit hard so it will be interesting to see how they handle that next year.

If you have 2 lock down CBs, a cover S and a hard-hitting run support S you'll have success with our scheme. Heck, with any scheme.

I think the Hawks are well on their way to having just that. And having it for a few years. Barring injuries of course.

The secondary is definitely ahead of schedule to where most of us thought it would be I think. If the young LBs, and D-line continues to develop, the Hawks D could be an absolute nightmare next year, heck even by the end of the year.
