Shumpert played?

It seems Shumpert played against Michigan (on special teams). That would indicate that we've now played 8 TR FR so far this year.

Of course, I know that Tanner Miller is an animal and didn't play. Thus, although nobody has spoken about it ... I presume that he must be injured. Hopefully the injury isn't too bad ... hopefully he can continue to see action and continue to improve.

Nine have played this year — C.J. Fiedorowicz, James Morris, Christian Kirksey, Coker, Hitchens, Tanner Miller, Mike Meyer, BJ Lowery and now Shumpert.

Shumpert looked quite athletic and good on kickoff coverage, he was in on almost every tackle. He has good size for a WR, but he would be a phenomenally athletic safety.

Is Kirksey hurt? because I didn't notice him on kickoff either. Early in the season it was Kirksey and Miller. Yesterday it was Shumpert and Hitchens. I hope we move Hitchens back to safety soon, he also looks pretty athletic.

Kirksey was in a few times on punt and KO coverage. I think either Shumpert or Hitchens needs to be at Safety. Need somebody back there. I think hitchens goes back for sure. And wherever the staff feels Shumpert works at, great. I could see him at either place. If we get a few good WR recruits I could see him at Safety before it's all said and done.
