Show the replays!

Much has been said about crowd sizes and people not going to the games for various reasons, including being able to watch the games in comfort at home in HD!

Sitting in the stadium on Saturday, I was amazed at how often they didn't show replays on controversial plays! During the review of the fumble at the goal line, not a single replay was shown on the big screen! The people in the stadium had no idea at all what was going on! I had friends texting me telling what the replay looked like! Dolph and Eddie were talking about the replay on the radio. But the people that paid to be there were completely in the dark!

For the love of God, show the damn replays! It seems like a very simple thing to do to enhance the experience for the people in the stands! Quit creating reasons for people to stay home. It frustrates the hell out of me!

I'll bet the game experience was lacking.... lots of long delays for replays...injuries....commercial breaks.

I've already said in another thread that the game experience was pretty bad Saturday. As someone who bought 15 tickets last year and just 5 this year, this kind of thing is one of the reasons. Its such an Iowa thing to do to not show any controversial replays. I've been to games in Lincoln and they are non-discriminatory about replays. They show the replay whenever there is a stoppage for however long the stoppage lasts. They don't ever go "nope, out of respect for the officials, we're not going to show that replay that they just got wrong." Whenever Iowa refuses to show a replay I basically assume at that point its because the officials screwed up.

I was at home in my living room and saw all the replays I wanted!! Just kidding.

The game day experience better trump the hassle free HD experience of watching at home. I know they rarely show replays on controversial calls, at least IMO. The fans pay the $$ to go to the games, give them a nice game day experience and show the replays.
