Didn't get a chance to watch the game, but how does a guy who's listed at 6-8 and 190 pounds get 6 blocks and 13 boards? 190 pounds? How does he not just get pushed around underneath?
Campell was more athletic than us at every position on the floor. They had two guys with springs, which, combined with our guys' deliberate, weak moves in the paint, resulted in a block party. It was a gut wrenching game to watch.
I had no problem with them continuing to go inside. My frustration was that they kept trying to finess the ball into the basket instead of taking it strong right at the guy. If our guys go hard to the basket inside he has half as many blocks and twice as many fouls.
The old adage of taking the ball right at a shot blocker became an adage for a reason.
