I am getting comfortable the we will see Iowa/Nebraska now. Below Mizzou article makes sense of a lot of this.

Tigers could play so-so foe, for Pete?s sake Tiger Extra - Mizzou Sports | ColumbiaTribune.com

Arizona/Washington to likely fill the Holiday/Alamo roles and they wont put the Huskers against either. ROOT FOR WASHINGTON AND OKLAHOMA today!

A Husker loss tonight and mark it down....we will play the Huskers in the Insight.

How about rooting for South Carolina also so Bama falls to the Outback and they won't want a PSU/Bama rematch.

Iowa Nebby in a bowl game might be interesting but I'd rather see the hawks have a chance to pound on Bama. We have played quite a few teams that were the defending national champs and had pretty good results.

I would like to see Iowa v Nebby but I just don't like the time slot and date of the Insight. 9pm kick on a Tuesday night? I like to get together with family and friends to watch the bowls and Insight pretty much guarantees that won't happen with jobs and children and such. I still hold out we get one of the Jan 1st bowls.

I would rather Iowa play Neb than Mizzou. I think Gabbert is the kind of QB that has given Iowa problems this year. Martinez is not the passer that Gabbert is. And Iowa does a good job of hemming in QB's that want to run first.

Persa and Pryor and jumped to mind but I suppose that they aren't technically run first QBs are they? Robinson would probably be a better comparison to Martinez and Iowa did do a pretty good job against him and didn't start to have problems until Forcier came into the game.

With all the rumored turmoil over in Lincoln surrounding Pelini and TMart I'm not even sure we would see him as the QB if we matched up.

Martinez has completed just 97 passes this year. Even with the missed time, he is not a great thrower.

Iowa's team defense philosophy of controlling your gaps and staying in your lane has done very well against run first QB's

Persa was more of a drew tate type QB hes just a great run and throw guy. Good enough to scramble for big yards also but he would definitely be a pass first kind of guy. Martinez seems to be strictly run first.

Yep and I would much rather face Nebraska. Gabbert is the last QB i want to face.

If we face Mizzou and if we were able to get healthy on defense I think we could take care of Gabbert and Co. If we are still playing our 2nd/3rd stringers at LB, we would be toast.

Outback would be my first choice, I do not want to go to the gator bowl, If its not Tampa i would love to get skipped over by the gator and play nebby in the Insight.

I would never count Iowa out...especially with a month to prepare and healthy (esp. with TN back!)

Overall, Mizzou is a more difficult team to prepare for.

how does that result in 'Bama to the Outback?

Aub wins ...
BCS = Aub & Ark, Cap 1 = Bama, Cotton = LSU, Outback = SC

SC wins ...
BCS = SC & Aub, Cap 1 = Bama, Cotton = Ark, Outback = LSU

Unless something changes we have this matchup.

This looked great yesterday and should be official very soon.
