OUCH! I realize we are young and inexperienced but other than McD we are still waiting for SOMEONE to step up.
I didn't realize how big of a rebuilding job this year was going to be. I'm glad we have the best coaching staff in the nation. They are going to EARN their pay this year.

on a positive note, i think we can still win the midlands crown if they show up and wrestle tonight. not sure how missouri or lehigh did in wrestlebacks.
On a positive note, the perfect storm hit and the team still has a great shot to win it. Any one of the folowing would have changed things and has the hawks with a comfortable lead going into finals:
If the real DSJ showed up
If Clark scored instead of Kerr
If a HWT actually wrestled
If Moore came and scored
And besides the team score I think Evans is one of the biggest positives. This weekend last year he was at 189 handing the number one kid in the nation (campalotano) his only career loss. So perhaps he follows a Man-Bear-Plan and fills into a solid 84 or 97 for the future.

I don't think the sky is falling by any stretch. Count me in as a little concerned though. Seems we've raised more questions at Midlands than providing answers. Just hope they all win tonight and finish on a high note and hopefully that's enough for the team race. It would be a mental edge to know that they wrestled about as bad as they could and still won the team title.

missouri leads us by 13.5 pts. they have 5 in wrestlebacks. i see them winning one. i dont know what the difference in points from 5th to 6th, but if its 2 or more i think it should be close.
