ditto here ... I came across three bottles this summer that I kept (found them after moving) . Still pristine -- really is hard to believe that was over 30 years ago!

At around the 8 minute mark, they show Bob Cummimngs wearing a green colored pullover. Nothing "Iowa" about it. That was weird. You'd think the head coach would be wearing the schools colors at least.
The marketing department should have been all over that, with the game being on television and all.

That was a great watch though, thanks for posting it. The crowd was electric. Wish I could have been there. I was 11 at the time. But was a Hawk fan even then.

Good catch. And...you could smoke any substance that was burnable in the stands then....truly a part atmosphere.

Earl Bruce called it his most disappointing loss in his entire coaching career.

When Hayden came to town 2 years later, he had that capital "I" scraped off the 50-yard line. He said it had been painted and repainted so many times that it was raised half an inch off the turf and guys would trip on it.

The few zoom shots show the Iowa State players wore custom jerseys that day that said "Beat Iowa". You can debate which team got more inspiration from looking at that all game.
