Why is the ENTIRE Hawkeye fan base sitting on their butts when all hell should be busting loose at the seams??? Never understood how a state who has such passionate citizens, also has some of the most passive....do y'all not think you have a voice??? Now I'm p****ed again....how many more schools are willing to move on to get better and get me even more pi****ed off??? Come on....who's next....kick me in the crotch!! Harder...now do it again. Anyone else had all they can take??? So again....we're accepting there will be no more interviews of Barta or KF for another month? Absolutely unbelievable that fans are just taking this lying down....again, thank you media for playing hide and seek as usual. (Not u Jon)

-----The inevitable decision to make a coaching change ends one of the most turbulent chapters in the history of Michigan football, costing not only Hoke his job after four seasons but also former athletics director Dave Brandon, who resigned last month under significant pressure from fans and alumni.

Playmaker, dude, keep the heart in check, that has pretty much been a foregone conclusion for weeks now, hasn't it?

And as for the passiveness of the fan base and students, well, your on the mark about that one.

So your answer is to b!tch, moan, and complain all day long on the internet? Great plan, Kirk will be gone in no time with this ingenious plan you've cooked up.

Sorry guys....just had to vent....if I didn't get it off my chest, I'd have felt as wimpy and pliable as a little Pat Harty doll.

But he is right. Iowa fans are going to be passive. They won't march on the presidents house like UM students did, which got the AD fired. According to Deace in a podcast, they bypassed marching on the AD cuz they figured it wasn't worthwhile. Hoke was the AD's hand-picked coach. Would sally mason even care? only one way to find out.

Arvada - Maybe you can tell me since I'm 900 miles away and haven't lived in Iowa in 30 years....why isn't it happening? I think it's because there are no students currently in Iowa City that have any Football success to actually miss....they don't know any better than to not care. (ALWAYS the danger of waiting too long to cut bait). And the adults probably feel that it isn't their responsibility.

The only thing Iowa students would march on is the oppressive, capitalistic system......so somebody please splan to them that KF is taking food out of the mouths of women and children. I think that is the only way they march on anything.

Holy smokes, pal. Relax. Iowa lost the B1G west by 5 freaking points in the last two games of the year, despite having 3 new starting LBs and some pretty horrific QB play. And it's for the best because God forbid we had won it and then OSU choked behind its new QB and this Iowa team got thrown into some bowl against Arizona, TCU or Baylor in a heavily viewed game. Shudder. Everything is fine - we have the same crap schedule next year, but Nebraska loses Bell and Abdullah plus will deal with a new coaching staff and Wisconsin loses Gordon. Everything just might work out if you have some patience. If Iowa fired the football coach every time the fans got upset, we would be on about our 5th or 6th coach bince 2005 and like Michigan fans, you'd be longing to be 7-5 again.

Worst post of the day

**** In 2012 his was the only team in the country that had one QB take every single snap all season long despite going 4-8 ****

^^^^^^If you thought Rudock was bad in 2014, you should have seen him in 2012^^^^^^^^

Some media are actually questioning things and providing ammo to fire up the base....to bad Nancy and John Deere from Center Point are just happy to maybe travel south to Tennessee for a few days...you know. .to see their boys play for good ol' Kirk. He sure is a good man....you know, the hospital stuff and all. Never mind about subsidized housing for Junior rumors....that's just the haters trying to bring down a good man who does thing the "Right way"....participation medals for everyone....it's Christmas!!!

You sir are part of the problem. Go ahead, keep bending over and saying "thank you sir may I have another." Personally I never "long" for 7-5.

Obviously we are not all in the same 'place'

Where are you?

I find myself sliding between fear and depression, week to week.

Given some of the bowl predictions, I'm settling in on Fear.

Come next July, probably be back to Optimism....some would call it delusion.

Sigh. GO HAWKS.

Rudock may be average to bad, but I think the point Playmaker was trying to make is that clearly James was not getting it done (probably due to the Davis schemes) and Rudock should have got some experience there. He may not be much better, but then again, you never know unless you put your back-ups in that type of situation. It would be amazing to see CJB playing and with more experience. But Ferentz loves his incumbents.

You know little about Iowa City Deano, or you are just blinded by your hatred. THOSE few students aren't the football fans.

Of course IC looks liberal compared to Ames, but it ain't no Berkeley for crying out loud. Hell Berkeley isn't even Berkeley anymore.

Don't worry, your money is safe from that socialist Obama (I would guess your pile has actually grown significantly since he became president. I know it's your ilk's dirty little secret cuz it kind of makes your propaganda against him look disingenuous).

So you have nothing to fear but fear itself. You are more likely to get run over by a loafer wearing Business major from Lake Forest disobeying the traffic laws in downtown IC than the nine students demonstrating for social justice.

Insert your smug little emoticon HERE.

Hold on comrade, I see I struck a nerve here. I don't hate anyone. I actually stand up for those comrades of yours to protest whatever they choose to protest.....be that capitalism or social justice.

Nobody wants our political opinions. If you want a nice circle jerk just wander on over to da Wasteland, I'm sure they will validate your points of view.

No emoticon, but I did find something for you

Clearly, their priorities are all jacked up.
