Because they have a 15 year $2.25 Billion, yes that's a B for Billion, contract with the SEC

Yes, I know there's a contract with the SEC, but they also have contracts with other conferences and promoting the SEC over them would seem to be...hmm...conflict of interest? Seems to me that ESPN has stopped being "the worldwide leader in sports" and have become "the worldwide leader in Yankees/RedSox, SEC and soccer"...maybe the Big12 and Big10 should join forces to make the first true "Super Conference", going with the BTN and telling ESPN to go take a flying leap...
