Season Ticket Renewals

Renewed mine today and tried to add 2 more. I think some of the other posts are right though. With the economy and some "fair weather" fans who only bought last year due to hype.....more tickets will probably be available. I predict now though that many of those same folks will be upset they didn't get tickets as I think we have a better than expected year in 2011

Since that has happened once in the history of the program, that would be a pretty safe bet.

I didnt know that was the case. I thought we sold out last season. Didnt we?
So I was basing my predictions and the bet, against the sell out from last season.
I would be willing to bet we dont sell as many season tickets as last year.

I believe the 2$ increase in ticket cost is a way to offset the losses of ticked off fans from last season.
The AD will haul in an extra 125K from the increase. That will cover the losses of 2K fans that wont renew, for whatever reason.
I think the number will be closer to 5K or 6K. I dont think Barta is willing to raise it much more than 2$, although he would if we had put together a 10 or 11 win season. I think we would have seen a bigger increase in that scenario.

I would have never guessed that. My last response was not sarcasm. I thought we had sold out last year (not 100% certain) but had no idea it had never happened before.

I was of the many new season ticket holder applicants that only received 2 games last year. I contacted the ticket office to see when I would be able to renew and hopefully get a full season for next year. They told me they expect a higher demand than last year. I am not sure I believe that but will be disappointed if I don't get the full season. I suppose I may have to ante up and donate some to secure that.
