Thanks for posting these! Saw others on the GoIowa site. Looking forward to seeing them for the whole team soon. Some them their evaluations are eye opening.

Cordell Pemsl season in review. Advanced stats really loved Cordell, including defensively. Interestingly enough the advanced stats prefer Cordell over Tyler Cook.
Yeah, I'm not surprised that the stats favor Cordell. His game is very efficient. But I suspect even Cordell would play Tyler over himself. The matchup issues Cook causes were evident all year, particularly the last 7 games. CP is a very nice other look that causes issues of his own for an opposing D.

Both have very different styles for being nearly the same height and weight. When it clicked for Cook near the end of the year he was an absolute force.

I said in another thread I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a Cook/Pemsl frontline in the starting line up again. Both would have to improve their defense and at least one would need to develop a mid range shot. If not, it's still quite the luxury to have a guy like Pemsl off the bench for Fran.

I think CP will be the 6th man like Baer was this year. Iowa will always have a low post threat in the game as long as Cook and CP are around. When's the last time Iowa had that?

I don't know that there are many college teams have that. Actually the two that met in the NC game last year did. Not saying TC and CP are that, but interesting nonetheless.
