i was curious about this florida comparison as well.

Point is Draper is young and Bob had all kinds of experience and yet he got burned but it did not ruin his career moving forward.

The over the top safety help is crucial in our pass D. That long PSU bomb in 2009 made Spievey "look" bad, but the safety bit on the PA, so Spievey had no help. Same with Bob Sanders biting on the PA against Florida, the CB also bit, thus, long TD.

Believe it or not, that stuff happens, even to good defenses.

Draper's MSU issue was, as much as anything, poor--VERY poor--tackling.

I hope he is much better than Castillo. Yikes. Although I do think Castillo had a couple good games in a back up role as a senior. He had some really really bad games for us though.

Draper is a much better name for a cornerback. He can cover receivers so well it is like he is draped on them! But not to the point of getting a penalty. Since unlike m$u the refs actually call penalties against Iowa.
