Bullock is still running if he catches that screen pass.

no hidden agenda here, just sayin, that play is a game changer.

I'm still hopeful we can turn this season around. Predicted 5-7 to start the year. For whatever reason I now think we can beat that. Pass the kool aid.

BS to partially hold teh players responsible.

KF should have learned him better on how to catch teh ball.

Winning out the OOC is certainly very doable; the ISU game looks much more favorable than it did two weeks ago. Then we'd need to win 3 out of MSU, Purdue, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Beating Northwestern seems like a longshot to me, and I don't see us having any chance against Michigan or Ohio State. Nebraska could be winnable, if their play last week is any indication. I think getting 6 wins is certainly within the realm of possibility.

There was one guy there to make the tackle. He would have been close to a first down though. However. Not sure if that guy on NIU could have made a tackle on a running back in open field at almost full speed.

NW will crush Iowa. I would be surprised if the spread ever reaches single digits.

There was also 3 guys there to block their 1 guy. It looked like the play where Canzeri scored against Oklahoma. It looked so good you knew he was going to score as soon as he caught it.

I've been screaming for the HB screen for many seasons now. It was a great call that was simply not executed well by Bullock. There were blockers in front and the ball was perfectly thrown. There was one defender coming up but if he gets blocked or cant make the tackle the play gets a first down and perhaps a lot more. We will never know. This was just one of many blown opportunities by the Iowa offense.

Just an observation but it seems to me that Iowa State and Iowa get stuffed for a loss or something else bad happens on 50% of screens. They just don't seem to work well and I just don't know why.

Yes that was a huge error by Bullock. If he can't execute that play, give Canzieri a shot.

Nope. They made it a point to give Canzeri the ball and run him right into the short side of the field and a stacked defense...twice in a row. Great way to use your speed back.

Which is probably why Bullock dropped it. He was thinking TD.

What he got was TDerp.

1) D knows it's coming

2) Play develops too slow/back lacks speed.

3) ^^^both^^^
