It sounded like Washington targeted him from the git go and was trying to see if they could trade back and still get him.... They decided they couldn't without more then likely not getting him. The Giants wanted him bad as they settled on the FL tackle. Most thought Washington would take the USC DE as they have needs there too. But hey they can pencil Scherff in at guard for the next 10 plus years and if he's not on Yanda's level (or somewhere close) in a couple years I'll be surprised.
