Schedule Going Forward

I realize I should probably be institutionalized for saying this, but its still hard to not see 8 wins. I have never seen the B10 so bad as this year and I have never seen a B10 schedule so soft as ours. I will just throw in MSU and UM as a losses (even though UM might have some serious issues as well).

Maybe I am viewing the schedule through the eyes of someone who thinks their team actually knows how to play BCS level football when instead I should be using the eyes of say... a Drake fan playing this schedule.

Neil, you are delusional. I don't care how easy the schedule looks. What have you seen from this team that makes you think they can win 7 of the next 10 games? I don't care if they were all against Savannah St. I haven't seen anything.
Especially if they lose to UNI this week. If they lose to UNI they might win 2 or 3 games total. Maybe.

UNI Loss
Central Mich: Close win
Minny: Loss
Sparty: Loss
Pedo State: Close win
Fighting Fitzes: Loss
Indiana: Win
Purdue: Loss
Meatchicken: Loss
Cornholers: Loss

Dat empty trophy case for 2 years running.

I'm delusional with the OP i guess, because I honestly think our defense can keep us in the majority of the games and our offense honestly cannot get any worse. I've stated in other posts that I don't feel that we need to become offensive juggernauts, but rather simply an "average" offense to win games, based on the way our defense has been adjusting. Defense takes a sudden drop in production then that may change things, but at this point I'm not of the "this season's over time to get ready for next year" mentality.

No matter how negative I get, I still cannot see a loss to UNI. If that happened, the meltdown would be Chernobyl level. The couch burning crowd would have the IC fire department all hands on deck.

My gut tells me this offense is finally going to stop dropping balls and put the ball in the endzone a couple times this week and next for some fairly comfortable wins. I know the QB can throw and the WR can catch. How? Because they have done it before. Someone has not replaced their brains and athletic talents with that of 45 year old, white, male, couch potatoes.

Is this the chucklehut? I see three wins this year. If there is a huge change in the next two weeks maybe maybe maybe 5.

Think of it this way. Do you think ISU would be confident in beating UNI, CM and Minn? All these games are at home for Iowa. If they can somehow win, even by the slightest margin, Iowa can improve over the next 4 weeks. If they do that, all home games are winnable.

UNI (WIN)
Central Mich: (WIN)
Minny: (WIN)
Sparty: LOSS
Pedo State: LOSS
Fighting Fitzes: LOSS
Indiana: WIN
Purdue: LOSS
Meatchicken: LOSS
Cornholers: LOSS

Dat empty trophy case for 2 years running.

5-7.. If Iowa loses to UNI I see 3-9, with Wins against CMU and Indiana

Guess it depends how much Iowa improves the rest of the year and how Big Ten improves the rest of the year.

Wins: UNI, CM, Minn(100% depends on their QB), PSU, Indiana, Purdue
We lose: MSU, NW(god I had them), Michigan, Nebraska (Could be close due to being at home and last game of the year)

7-5

I find it hard to phantom Iowa losing to UNI but we did lose to Minny the last 2 years. UNI ream is better than those Minny teams.
