Say what you will about ISU but ...

... they just beat a pretty darn good UNI team.

Sure, ISU was more than a little rough around the edges ... but the game obviously gives them A LOT to learn from. Furthermore, it allowed them to knock off plenty of rust and jitters.

Regardless of any mindless smack talk ... next week is likely going to be tough.

And if you doubt it .... who bets that Auburn thought that they'd walk all over Utah State?

The last time UNI beat ISU I recall ISU went on to beat us, so definitely not taking anything for granted. That being said, Farley should be shot for going straight prevent on the last drive. Up to that point the only plays ISU made in the second half were Jantz scrambling and essentially a hail mary pass on 4th down to take the lead the first time. Not sure what to expect next week, but ISU is definitely banged up on both sides of the ball and gassed themselves just to get the win tonight. The Hawks were just sloppy enough today to stay focused going into next week. Based on watching both games tonight, if ISU beats us next week it simply means we are not very good (like every other time they've beaten us except for 2002).

dude - iowa will dominate the game in the trenches. clown lines suck.

I couldn't decide if I wanted ISU to win or lose. But then I said to myself that it doesn't matter if they do win or lose because next week they will give it their all no matter what against Iowa. They always do. A few years back ISU came into the Iowa game after losing to UNI. On paper, we were expected to roll ISU and then we ended up losing the game. I think what does benefit ISU is that it was in a close game that went right down to the wire. Iowa, on the other hand, was not challenged and the majority of our starters never saw the field again after the rain delay ... We should be fresh next week. I sure hope Coker gets his head on right ... Kirk said he had a sluggish week of practice ... It showed. But, we are all human ... Either way, next week will be a tough game no matter what ...

This year my big freakin' goal for Iowa is curb-stomping Northwestern. To hell with the clowns

It's moxie dude -- that's not the first time I've seen you post that either. Were they saying that incessantly during the game or something?

hey - i'm a trailer park hawk - just a blue collar guy.

i'm a little short in the smarts division, so thanks for helping me out.

btw, yes, moxIE ville = rusty, according to 100.3 the bus, and dynagrow seed.

Ah, that would explain it. I can't stand when commentators get stuck on their stupid buzzword of the night. Can't remember what the game was but it was a basketball game where they kept calling this kid "Bobby Buckets" and saying that he was a Pepper-Pot. I about commit suicide.

You about do that a lot. You might want to see someone about that.

Go back to sleep, Homer. Your King Solomon mask is slipping.
