5 things that most people won't expect but I am guessing will happen in 2010.
1. USC will close the season out of the Top 25
How in the world did I come up with this one? Simple. The team is undergoing a bit of an overhaul defensively and has only pride to play for in 2010. They will lose to Washington, Notre Dame, Oregon, Oregon St, and UCLA.
2. Iowa will play for the National Championship.
They play all the best teams in the Big 10 at home this year and Ricky Stanzi can't lose (they barely lost the game where he played 2 drives). This is a team with a strong defense and an offense with a strong stable of RBs
3. North Carolina's defense will outscore it's offense in conference play.
The oline is awful. TJ Yates is awful. They rushed for 1700 yards as a team last year and they were better offensively then. Oh boy. The defense. It's insane. They have 3 of the top 5 defensive players in next year's draft.
4. Florida will win the SEC
The competition in the SEC east is tepid at best (Georgia may challenge but no other comers) while the SEC west is loaded with the strongest teams. John Brantley is a monster talent at QB.
5. Dion Lewis will win the Heisman
Another sophomore!! This kid is insane and the Big East has some defenses that don't know what stop means.
