Seems high to me... but I cant go against the Hawks! (well if betting were legal of course)!

I'll take EIU against the spread; it's too high for me.

Blow-outs are low stress and I'll take any that the Hawkeyes want to give us but for a first game, and with the holes in the offensive/defensive lines 38 points is too high.

I don't bet sports because I'm too competitive and not a great loser when money is on the line but, I do keep a mental track of how I do each season. How's that for having a problem?

Not Iowa style to keep the foot on the accelerator. If we get ahead by 21, we start almost exclusivelly running the ball, JV in at QB, lot of rotation in both lines. run out the clock. Only way it gets to 38 points is if we get some INTs for touchdowns or kick returns

I take the Hawkeyes against a 38 point spread. I think 45-7 is more than reasonable for this game. The Hawkeyes offense will really surprise. I think the 40's could be an every other week thing this year.

I'd take EIU and the spread. you can't possibly know what to expect the first game of the year and Iowa rarely likes to blow anybody out. If they get out to a 35 point halftime lead, they'll put the backups in and likely be outscored 7-10 in the 2nd half because all the 4th team/walk ons will be in the game late in the 4th quarter.

I've got a feeling we'll be blowing out quite a few of our opponents this year, so the 2nd & 3rd teams will get plenty of experience.

Betting is legal. It depends on what and where you're at.
Although, you'll never find this line in a casino, since the game is against a I-AA team.

As I said in yesterdays post to be or not to be. Kirk would play Herky before doing that to an opponent. Not his style...a victory is a victory.

Last year, you would have been very successful by beating against Iowa ATS at home, for Iowa ATS on the road.

vegas doesn't do spreads of games against FCS teams? i'm not a better, so that's new to me.

Vegas may not do them.... but a few places off shore do... Anything to get people wagering.

FYI The spread is up to 39. So action must be coming in on the Hawks. They do not do O/U's for FCS games
