Saturday at Purdue. Coming off the beatdown of MSU with Ohio State on deck Wednesday. Very capable Iowa squad lulls Purdue to sleep and gets very close to an upset.

Unfortunately, Purdue is not a all-white team like NW is so we won't match up quite as well on defense and it is back to getting beat one on one like before. We will work hard on defense but we won't have the quickness to stay with them.

At least with NW, both teams had equal athletes and we looked like gangbusters on defense...back to reality.

Would love to buy some of that sandwich material, but no way Painter lets this group let down. They will pummel us...as most athletic teams do. I love the effort these guys give but they are out-manned big time in this one.

Can't we move on from the racial remarks, Jimmy the Greek? If I'm not mistaken, Brunner, Horner, Haluska and Hansen were all white and they did alright.

It's not always simply:

African-American = great athlete
Pasty white boy= bad athete

We can all see that Iowa has a lot of white players, no need to keep bringing it up.
