I participate in a recreational organization (the specifics aren't important, other than that family members attend our events). Just a couple days before a big Saturday get together we get an email saying "John Doe" won't be at the event, we'll have to cover his duties...and effective immediately he's no longer affiliated with the group.

We're all like "What the hell happened?". I did a little searching online and discovered that he was busted in a child prostitution sting 7-8 years ago. Somebody recognized him and notified leadership so they cut ties with him immediately. Who knew...and people's kids were coming to the get-togethers. Freaked me out.
