NW is on a different level than us and Nebraska has started to play D. Those are 80% sure losses in my opinion and 100% we drop one of them.

And, in 2016 they scored 31 but lost to NW. Same in 2014 to UMD.

I don't see 2019 being all that special. Our OL is dreadful. The C and Guard positions are especially dreadful and they are all gone after this season. So we get to break in 3 new interior OL. None of the back ups look capable. We need a new OL coach. TP isn't getting it done.

This is why I aways go 7-5/8-4 when making preseason predictions when you have some people saying we'll win 10+ games.

I know but the schedule was favorable and whisky is down and Penn State is not he same team they were last year. We have these so called NFL tightends and supposedly one of the better QBs to wear a Iowa uniform, so the sum of parts could lead one to be a tad optimistic. This comment from a Iowa fan that wanted Kirk gone over seven years ago.

Right now there are fans out there that have no problem with this rinse and repeat type of football. They are a serious problem. As long as these effing idiots keep coming to the games and supporting Kirk nothing is ever going to change.

Iowa football continues to get stale.

This will have been a fresh new look to the 7-5 hawkeyes. Our expectations rose because of a decent showing against Wisconsin and blowout wins against Minny and Indy. Seriously, that is it !

Iowa's running game is sub par. Part of that is IKM is out, Toren Young is less effective than Mark Weisman, Sarget is a saving grace. He has helped the running game from going into the abyss and may be the offense as well.

Brian likes to run on 1st down and guess what - the opponents know it. No edge to do surpirse.

The receivers get mugged - not physical enough to escape a DB grabbing them.

Many people would say, if you're going to be average at least be interesting. For awhile Iowa was interesting this year. They are trending to the 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017 gray twilight
