This team should be 9-0 or 8-1 minimum.

But alas.. We'll see if this team ends up falling into the usual mold of most Iowa teams or if it really melts down 2010 style after back to back excruciating losses.

Depressing how we find ways to lose. Northwestern rolling and Nebby finally playing well, it's going to be a very tough finish.

We drop NW and Nebraska. They are both making waaaaaaaay less mistakes than the Hawks right now.

I said 6-6 at the beginning of the year.

The point is losing close games to teams that we shouldn't lose close games to.

If you want to get into specifics of how the game script goes.. well they are not all going to be the exact sequence of events lol.

They better go 9-3. With 2 at home and one on the road against dreadful Illinois, we better be talking about the potential to win 10 games after Nebraska game.

I hope so but I'm not counting anything as victories until the games are won. I remember 2010 all too well.

Northwestern is leading the division and Nebraska is improving. Not automatic wins.

Both of those games are at home. People are selling me about how 2019 might be special, well that sell job starts right now in 2018.
 
My thoughts:

* We are to quality opponents as a Ford F150 is to Formula One racing

* I thought we were going to be able to stretch the field this year......or at least try once in awhile

* Phil Parker couldn't figure out Brohm's offense last year and still hasn't

* Maybe having an all Iowa OL isn't necessarily something to tout

* Is "fit" more important than talent to Kirk?

* I'm not sure quiet leadership at the QB position is a good thing for this team

* To think this team could still win 9 games is a tribute to whoever put together our schedule

* The most hollow words to hear at the end of this season will be "we're excited to go to a bowl game again"

* New school beat old school today

* Did we blitz today? I must have been sleeping.

* I won't be buying Phi Parker's book Eliminating The Big Plays.......not this week anyway.
