Ok Jon, here is how it should play out...
Crunching some numbers and assuming Iowa's computer rankings in the other polls won't get WORSE.
Texas was ranked 10th in ELO, that is HUGE, massive, awesome. Why? Because it brings their average almost equal to Iowa. If any of the other polls move Iowa above Texas, Iowa will have the number 3 spot. (Assuming Harris and Coaches move Iowa to 4th.)
The point is this, Iowa doesn't need the human pollsters as much as some people think. The computers are a third of the equation and the pollsters would have to move Iowa down quite a bit to change that fact. Bama or Florida beating each other leaves Iowa in a good place.
All of this is moot if Iowa doesn't win of course. They gotta take care of Indiana.
