ryan braun's appeal

pin2win

@hagertony
this hasn't been confirmed yet and didn't want to blast it 4 months ago but i was talking with a guy close to the organization out in chicago and ryan braun's positive tests were because he was taking herpes medication. did not believe the guy at first but now it makes more sense as the appeal was granted

it will be interesting if the truth ever comes out

I heard the same thing from two different cheeseheads. My take is that if I hear a rumor from two independent sources, it is true.

I think the fact that he has herpes is pretty common knowledge. There were several blogs reporting this from the time he tested positive.

He got off on a technicality according to other "always true" internet rumors. The guy who collected the sample apparently kept it in his refrigerator overnight:

According to one of the sources, the collector, after getting Braun's sample, was supposed to take the sample to FedEx/Kinkos for shipping but thought it was closed because it was late on a Saturday. As has occurred in some other instances, the collector took the sample home and kept it refrigerated. Policy states that the sample is supposed to get to FedEx as soon as possible.

Big Brewers fan here....also big Dan Patrick show fan. Dan mentioned the "herpes" today on the show. Dan said he had embarassing info in regards to Braun...and told it today after the appeal.

Still think it was a disgruntled Cubs fan that tampered with the sample though... ;)

Yeah, the chain of custody rumors were out there. I know the first place I want herpified blood is right next to my Coors Lights.

Nah, we only mess with Cardinal samples. No need to mess with Brewers as they can never afford to keep their good players anyway. :D
