I broke tradition and actually posted a score prediction last week. Totally my fault guys.

So I'll go back to my general predictions. If Iowa can again establish a ground game, limit the big chunk plays by Rutger Hauer, and win TO battle, we'll be in good shape.

I am not sure which Iowa comes to play. NDSU's weakness on dee was their pass coverage but we didnt try to pass them to death, even when we couldnt run the ball. I think a well balanced hawk offense with some good first down passing to keep the box unloaded can and should score 31-35 points but I will say 28. Rutgers passing game is said to be suspect so a good run defense (bring the safeties closer to LOS) and better tackling by the hawks holds rutgers to 17 points. Washington destroyed Rutgers and called off the dogs after 3 qtrs.

Hawks 28-17 based on no goofy turnovers etc being about even.

yes he did but we didnt try one or more than one screen pass, you know the pass play that can go for a long gain against a big pass rush. We didnt try once or maybe only once, when wadley dropped the pass, a swing pass to the the opening where the blitzers came from, the wide open area.

You saw the last blitz, what if wadley just swings out to the left where those two blitzers came from and CJ just lobs up a floater that wadley catches and runs for 60 yards or even a td.

I guess my point is the hawk game plan should have been ready for 8-9 in the box and 10 in the box one time and a bunch of blitzes. Poor job by the two OFF coordinators.
