Running Back walking on...

Can't argue with that. Anybody know the circumstances why he went to UNI with all the offers he had?
 
his mom had cancer at one point. he also fell down the rankings a bit and he didnt have a committable iowa offer when he chose UNI.

I could only speculate that he wanted to stay close to home and wanted playing time. I really don't know the timing of it all, but at one point, Iowa's roster had Coker (who just had a breakout performance in the Insight bowl,) and McCall and Coe were coming. Again just speculating, I don't know the real story.

I didn't hear anything about the family issues but that's one thing I did read is that he really drug his feet during the recruiting process and by the time he made a choice, most of the offers were rescinded.
 
I'm wondering if he doesn't end up at Safety or something. He'd be a heck of an athlete roaming the secondary, and he's got good ball skills also. Maybe a Damien Robinson type safety.
 
I believe he was also injured during his senior year. At one point he had offers (as reported on scout) from Purdue, Illinois, Wisky, Kansas and even Iowa. But I think he had some academic isssues as well as injury issues that everyone backed off. I believe Iowa offered him at DB, which he didn't like and is why he did not commit.

So I wonder if he will be staying at RB or if he moves to the other side of the ball.

He might have been dinged once or twice as a Senior but he managed 300+ carries so he didn't miss much in the way of games.

I beleive it was a sprained knee in the playoffs ( I think this was an excuse someone from CR made for him going to UNI). Most of it was him wanting to play RB, but everyone wanting to play defense and him dragging his feet and missing out on opportunities.
 
i dont think he has grade problems. ive heard hes a good student and a great kid. he went JUCO to avoid not playing a year and to keep up on school.
 
so why did he leave UNI? Just to get his grades up or did he not like UNI?

I saw him play a few times, he was a pretty good runner. HE had some nice spin moves and jukes. But I think he is not Div 1 material as a RB. He could develop into a safety possibly.
 
i think he was buried on the depth chart and for whatever reason not that comfortable.

"Transferring to Iowa Western next yr then a new school in January nothing against UNI or the coaching staff just taking a different path In life. Was a hard decision but the right one"
