I'm not sure your "would be" 4th string QB and a potential safety candidate is too alarming on the attrition scale. Lile must know something we all don't as a guy that's been here a few years knows the drill by now. He either saw the writing on the wall as far as playing time, or didn't get along with the coaching staff. I'm going with the former...it's what makes the most sense. Lowdermilk isn't going anywhere, and Gair has supposedly really impressed the coaches. Throw Lomax in the safety mix too and you have three guys in front of you. You also have Law in there somewhere.
Once again speculation...but I believe this team has a solid upperclassman leadership base that is going to keep everyone moving in the right direction. Morris, Scherff, Weisman, and the other leaders have laid down a pretty solid footprint for hardwork and improvement. Not too many people were expecting a New Years Day bowl last year...kudos for that group in making the grade every day and accomplishing what they did. Now, it's time to take it one step further. We have the nucleus of proven players to do that.
