I wonder what our RPI would be if those 5 teams had RPI's between 200 and 250? It seems like that is the only thing separating us from other bubble teams right now. If that's the case then I'm not sure what's more annoying. The fact that a system so flawed has such a huge impact on who makes the tourney or that they didn't account for this when they made the schedule.

Good post. A team can play a tough schedule and lose by 20 to all of them and gain more in RPI than the team who plays an easy sched and beats all of them by 20. At least it seems that way. Flawed logic imo.

And I'm a bit dismayed to hear that our non-con sched next season is cupcake city as well. You'd think Fran and whoever else makes the sched would believe in the team more and schedule some tougher games.

My scenario for 3wins and in would be beating IU, losing to Illinios, beating Nebby and winning the 1st BTT game

That would give us 2 wins over the teams at the top of the Big Ten
