Rondale Moore has a bad ankle

Purdue message board last night reported that Moore sprained an ankle in the MSU game, and is questionable for Iowa. I remember the injury from watching that game. If he plays, guessing he will not be 100%. The posters were whining about "overuse."

Iowa needs to be breathing fire on defense and limit the mistakes on offense. This game can be won

Brohm in a recorded interview said that Moore is a "game-time decision" and that there are several others in that category as well....said "it is that time of the year."

Iowa has injuries but so does Purdue.

I think the team that makes the fewest mistakes will win this game. I don't think Purdue has a huge advantage if Moore is less than 100%, which he will be. We need to play clean football on the offensive side. You can't win games on the road against good teams if you do not do that.

Iowa defense needs to play with the same intensity they showed against Iowa State and much of the Wisconsin game

It would be with Rondale Moore vs Julius Brents.

Brents is a beast...don't get me wrong. But Moore is a Saquon Barkley type of guy who can make anyone look stupid.
I'm not sure most fans realize just how good he is. As a true freshman, he may already be the best player in the conference. He's a generational recruit for Purdue.

Last year they didn't have Rondale and still won.

I was gonna say, forget Rondale Moore. The key question is does Anthony Mahoungou still play for Purdue? That's the guy that kept burning Rugamba and Ojemudia last year and scored 2 big TD's for Purdue in the 3Q after Iowa led at halftime.

EDIT: I just looked it up. Anthony Mahoungou graduated after the 2017 season. So Iowa does not have to worry about him anymore.

Lolzies.

Rondale Moore is Saquon Barkley 2.0 and we know how that turned out last year even with 3 senior LBs and Josh Jackson behind the line. If he's healthy (I have a feeling Brohm is playing head games with us), you better believe he's getting the ball early and often.

Looking back at his recruiting profile...he had offers from lots of "big boys". How did Purdue land him? Close to home for his folks to come watch?

This is huge if true, which I have no reason to doubt.

This would be equivalent to Iowa losing both Hock and Fant the same week.

I remember seeing it happen in the game too. Didn't look really serious at the time but you never know. Point is that MSU was gang tackling him every time he touched the ball. That's what Iowa has to do. Those are the tackles that take their toll.
Ankles man... Their always worse the following days than they are right after hurting them. I've hurt the same one so many times playing basketball I've lost count. I can play on it for awhile after aggravating it but after I get home she swells up no matter what I do ice wise and I'm toast for awhile. Usually 2 weeks till I can run or jump again like I want to anyway.

This is great news for us that he's dinged up. Knowing that I hope he plays. I'd rather have him out there at 70% or less than someone else at 100%. No way he could be as explosive or able to cut as well. Blood in the water. Plus Blough hasn't played all that great lately. To me it's between he and Stanley who gets their act together better/faster is who'll have the leg up

Wouldn't it be more tricky to just not let the Iowa coaches know he wasnt playing? That way they would still spend all week game planning for him for no reason. Pretending he may not play when he's going to play doesn't do a thing.
