Ronald Thompson?

Have heard he's not the brightest kid.

Very good RB. Not sure Iowa would even have a spot for him there, though. We sit very well with at least 3 much higher rated RBs. If you count Malloy's scholly, there just won't be any room.

The next week Thompson goes for 234 yards on 23 carries against Xavier. Last night, he burns Kennedy for another 238 yards on 29 attempts.

Yet, apparently, he has no offers. His grades & test scores must be atrocious. What a shame!

Grades aside, Paki O'Meara put up better numbers his Jr and Sr years and high school, only difference is those Washington teams werent even playoff teams.

Any kid that gets caught smoking weed in his HS parking lot a few days before the state championship game might not be someone that has the best judgement.

Fail.

At no time did Paki run for over 1,000 yards in 5 games.

Complete BS.
There is no bs to it, he opened his senior season with a school record 349 rushing yards. Your trying to tell me he couldnt average 160 yards a game the next 4? He was the entire offense on that team.

This could definitely be part of his problem. The KGYM radio guys were discussing if the outcome of the 4A Championship Game would have been different last season, if Thompson would have played.

Got to see the game live. Thompson and City High's offense was bottled up in the 1st half, only leading 6-0. Kennedy's defense was up to the task. City High broke it open in the 3rd quarter with TD runs of 39 and 36 yards by Thompson.

I want to see documentation, with yardage numbers and opponents, or else you're completely full of S***.

FWIW I've seen him play twice this year and twice last year. No idea about his ability to qualify but I know he's had off the field issues.

Notes From Dubuque Senior:

#34 - Ronald Thompson RB/LB
Looked like a D1 caliber athlete. Lot of raw power and speed. He ran awfully high most of the time I had my eyes on'm. Showed some solid burst but I didn't see much lateral agility from him.Not sure I'd project him as a RB but he's got good enough size and athleticism to play OLB at the next level. Showed some excellent closing speed and ability to shed blocks. Instincts/recognition weren't real consistent, but he looked to be ok there. D1 Caliber athlete with some issues. Probably best as an OLB, but not a bad RB prospect. Got work to do at either position.

Notes from City West

#34 Ronald Thompson RB/LB
Same issues running high. better vision this time around. Great run for 6, better patience and vision again on this run. Up high again, not driving legs on contact, leans too much for a guy with his athletic ability. Vision flashed again on 71 yard run, did get run down inside 10 though. Looked good finishing runs in red zone, stronger as time goes on. Very quick in the 2nd half still, driving through contact now, lower level of competition struggling to keep pace. Great burst after initial stop. Better COD skills than shown previously.
Workload guy, 30ish carries in the game. Little lazy with his feet at times, needs to get’m up. Tackling was fairly sound this game. Has the foot speed to run with TE's at the next level. Showed good power shedding blocks.

You know how hard it is to find stats from high school football games that were played 5 years ago? You find me stats to prove me wrong. Until then I'll believe what I saw because I was at the games in 2006.

You don't have a clue. He had a big game the first night out and then you just assume he had big numbers for the next 4 games.

I was also at those games, and he sucked the last 4.

See how that works?

I was at the games and he didnt suck. There have been a ton of running backs better than Thompson in recent years and Paki is one of them. I bet your going to tell me Jayme Murphy didnt put up good numbers when he was in HS too huh? How about Travis Rhone?

Rhone was a stud.

The others couldn't hold Thompson's jock, or rather his bong.

You are just demonstrating how little you know about football and your inability to properly evaluate talent. Congratulations on that.
