LOL. I see what you mean...but

I think Illinois made a mistake after the 2007 season. I realize they lost three solid OL, Mendenhall and Weil, the FB...but they had an identity that year...they changed in the next two years and it was a mistake. They have returned to that run option identity of 2007, and they have a similar runner to Mendenhall in LeShoure.

Iowa has not varied from who they are with regards to offensive philosophy...sometimes that has meant a few painful years. But in the long run, it helps your program have higher valleys.
 
Yeah, but I can't help in being disappointed in that lopsided of a win, all but diminishing our win last week to nothing but a win. Illy pretty much destroyed PSU (even if they are all banged up). I was secretly hoping for PSU to actually be better than they were here to account for our own version of "style" points. A w is a w. And Zook may be safe with that win. Definitely have a good ground game, too bad they are not on our schedule to show folks our run D. FWIW, not so afraid of Indy now, they were exposed too.

illannoy's "lopsided" win was by one point LESS than we beat PSU.
I'm not sure you're keeping this in perspective.

yeah, I know, but statistically and watching the game, they sure made it look a lot easier than we did. PSU is terrible inside the 20 after recovering both those miscues. Alabama argument still there, too. i just had to complain about it caus I wanted PSU to win, and a) discredit Illinois altogether, and 2) I had them in this weeks suicide pool. ;)
