Rodney Coe relationship turning sour?

Last month, Rodney Coe seemed confident that he would continue his football career at Iowa after his two-year stop at Iowa Western Community College ended. That outlook has changed.

"I wouldn't say (the Hawkeyes are) totally out of the picture, but I've talked to Iowa one time since I've been here," the 6-foot-3, 286-pound defensive end said. "I've been talking to a lot of other coaches. It just seems like Iowa isn't interested in me anymore."

I wonder why we lose so many recruits and players who have actually been a part of the team?

At least when they leave, they have rarely bad mouth the program, Kf, or given the real reasons why they left. so we will never know the under lying problems in the program.

Maybe, just maybe, the coaches prefer to focus their energy on players that were actually able to make it on to campus. Coe has been less than impressive thus far in his collegiate career.

does iowa lose more or less than the average team loses?

maybe the 'under lying' problem is with the recruit, or the player. could that be possible?

what impression does this kid give when he is crying/blabbering all the time on twitter? maybe he should be spending his time more wisely - i.e. on his grades, in the weight room, etc., etc.

If his love for academics were even half as much as his love for Twitter he'd be on his way to being a Rhodes scholar. Doesn't sound like he has what it takes to be a student-athlete in the B1G and certainly not Iowa. If this were the SEC he'd already be starting.
I'd love to be wrong with someone like this but I bet he doesn't play a down of DI ball.

Spot on! He like AJ Derby, we won't here about again.

Our attrition is above average. A few months back someone finally did the legwork to pull the data for most of the BIG and several other top programs. Too lazy to look up the thread but search 'attrition'.
