Robinson and Hampton

Man we have two solid backs. Those guys run hard and break tackles. Very impressed today. The O-line played well but those guys were running over people. Two durable backs that just don't go down. You can tell that Hampton was a little rusty and Arob does what he does. If we can continue to run the ball like that we are going to be tough with Stanzi and the weapons we have in McNutt and DJK. D was lights out, great win Hawks.

Our offense is going to run the ball much better than last year. Hampton and an improved Robinson look great. Robinson looks like he has added a little speed and even more break tackle ability from last year.

Hampton was on the verge of busting off monster runs on several occasions.

Robinson is just tougher than hell and way quicker than people give him credit for.

We know Arob is going to run like an animal but I agree Hampton is taking his lead and doing the same thing. Hampton will only get better. And if we can run like that it will open up the passing game as it did today.

Correct me if i'm wrong... but EIU and ISU both had undersized D-lines. I want to see our front push around a bigger D-line before I celebrate our rushing attack TOO much.

BUT... I will agree... I think our ground attack has looked good!

I totally agree with you in tempering the enthusiasm. But, getting Gettis and Koepel back will help as well. But I think we have two horses. They are strong and hungry and I like their attitudes. We'll learn more next week I think.
